Big Mama's Kitchen prepares to open this week in new north Omaha location

Gladys Harrison found herself in tears last week as she watched the finishing touches being put on the new location of Big Mama’s Kitchen.

The new space, near 30th Street and Patrick Avenue, is full of reminders of her mother, Patricia Barron, the restaurant’s namesake.
